TransZent is a research center that researches transformation processes towards sustainability and explores scope for action. At the same time, TransZent is concerned with teaching students the theoretical approaches and methods of transformation research – also in cooperation with actors from civil society (Service Learning). Accordingly, the Center's members offer a wide range of interdisciplinary courses at the University of Wuppertal. In addition to attending designated courses as part of their degree program, students can also acquire a TransZent certificate as an additional qualification, which certifies their knowledge of various scientific perspectives and approaches to sustainability and transformation research and practice. Moreover, interdisciplinary theses offer them the opportunity to delve deeper into these subject areas and to qualify for the relevant professional fields.
